An exhibition of 30 articles of Dudh illustrated in photographs taken by the renowned international agency reporters James Natchwey, Alexandra Boulat and John Stanmeyer, will be held at the Alliance Française de Karachi on Tuesday, November 25. FILM screening
The Goethe Institut Auditorium will screen a German film, Klassenfahrt (School trip) by Henner Winckler on Thursday, November 20 at 6:00 pm. It is based on a group of Berlin high school students who takes a trip to a Polish resort on the Baltic Sea and is searching for thrills.
A German film, In den Tag hinein (Enlightenment guaranteed) by Doris Dorrie will be shown at the Goethe Institut on Thursday, November 27. The story revolves around Lynn who lives with her brother in Berlin. She does not have any precise aim in life, but manages to awaken the interest of many people with her direct character. The show starts at 6 pm.
In the words of poet Kaifi Azmi, the word ‘ghazal’ has two meanings – one is ghazal and the other Begum Akhtar. The likes of Begum Akhtar are born but rarely. Her name is synonymous with thumri, ghazal & dadra. To connoisseurs of these traditional forms of classical music, Begum Akhtar remains an icon, an embodiment of melody & raag. To give tribute to this legend, Sampurna is screening a special hour-long film on her life and career featuring clips of her live performance and interviews on Saturday, November 22 at 5:00 pm at House No 149, 35th St, off Kh-e-Muslim Phase-VI, DHA. The Alliance Francaise Karachi (AFK) takes pleasure in presenting the second part of Molière, a film written and directed by Ariane Mnouchkine, made with 120 comedians, 600 participants, 1,300 costumes, 220 settings and two years of work. Written and produced by Ariane Mnouchkine, this film narrates the adventures of Molière and his century. The film will be screened at AFK on Friday, November 21 at 7:30 pm.

Allianz Francaise Karachi (AFK) invites you a musical evening on Saturday, November 22, at 9pm at AFK, where AR Anwar and Shaz Khan will perform. Anwar is a popular Karachi-based Pushto-folk and classical singer and musician and possesses his own style of Pushto-singing. Khan is a singer of the new generation and sings Pushto pop and classical songs. He has released several albums.
